RETURNS

A Return Authorization Form is REQUIRED in order to Process ALL Returns.
Any packages received without a Return Authorization Form cannot be processed.
A 20% Restocking Fee will be applied to all items eligible for return. Only certain items are returnable, PLEASE CHECK before Buying.
Shipping is non-refundable.

Requirements for a Return and Refund

  1. You must have the original sales slip.  A copy must be provided along with a copy of your invoice and a completed return authorization form.
  2. Refund will be made to the credit card or Paypal account the item was originally purchased on.   Items purchased by check will be refunded 2 weeks from the date of deposit. 
  3. Product must be returned in the original package, in new, unworn condition.  Incomplete returns (missing parts or damaged) can not be processed for credit. 
  4. Refund will be made less a 20% RESTOCKING Fee and the cost of shipping and handling.
  5. Refund will be allowed on returns postmarked up to 14 days from the date the order was shipped.
  6. Shrink wrapped or blister carded products must be unopened and in original packaging.
  7. No Returns on orders placed after October 10th.  All orders placed after this date are considered to be sold as ALL SALES FINAL.  Orders placed after November 1st will be subject to our off-season return policy.
  8. Customers ordering items in multiple sizes will also be charged a 20% Restocking Fee.
  9.  Product that has been worn may not be returned for any reason.
  10. All Returns Are Subject to a 20% Restocking Fee.  Shipping is Non-Refundable.
  11. Returns received by Eastern Coast Costume that do not meet all of the criteria above will be discarded.   Returns received without a completed Return Authorization will also be discarded.

Footwear may only be returned for an exchange of size and will not be accepted if the soles show any wear.  In cases of size exchange, customer will pay all shipping charges incurred.

SIZE EXCHANGES

In order to exchange your item for a different size, please send the product back in the original packaging, along with a copy of your invoice and a check or money order for $8.95 for return shipping (for single items only, US shipments only).

 Also, please print and complete the SIZE EXCHANGE FORM in order to expedite your exchange more quickly. 

  • Size exchanges cannot be processed if the order is not accompanied by the size exchange form or if we do not carry the size.
  • If the size that you request is available, it will be shipped out as soon as possible.
    If the size that you require happens to be out of stock when your exchange is received, we will send one email and make one phone call to let you know the status of your order.
  • Please be sure that we do carry the size requested.  Size exchange is not available for costumes that are “one-size”.
  • Please check that your item is exchangeable.  Non returnable items are not available for exchange.
  • Size exchange applies only when items with the same item number and color are exchanged.  Any attempts at exchanging color or style will then be treated as an unauthorized return and credit will not be issued.
  • Size exchanges must be postmarked within 14 days of order ship date.

SPECIAL OR CUSTOM ORDERS

 Includes items purchased in multiples (more than 4 pieces per item ordered) or items ordered specifically for a customer cannot be returned.   Mascots cannot be returned.

WARRANTY

Eastern Coast Costume wishes your shopping experience with us to be a happy one. 
We sell a wide variety of merchandise including items that are considered custom orders. 
Our warranty and return policy vary with the product lines.  Listed below are our return policies for the various lines. When ordering, if you have a question about the return policy of a product that we may have not covered, just ask.  The following return policies apply to online purchases only.  All sales are final for all in-store purchases.

DEFECTIVE OR DAMAGED ITEMS

Eastern Coast Costume will repair or replace at its sole option any item that is defective or damaged.

Damages caused by UPS must be marked as “damaged” by the UPS Driver and must be reported by the customer to Eastern Coast Costume immediately.  ECC will then contact UPS in order to rectify the situation appropriately.

 When products are defective we offer the following option:
If a product is found to be defective product on receipt, please contact ECC and we will send you a replacement (same item, same size, color, etc) along with a UPS Return Service label for the defective product.  When you receive the replacement product, please place the defective product back in the box along with the Return Authorization Form and affix the return label.  Keep the lower portion of the return label for your records.  Return the box to your UPS Driver or any UPS store.  Shipping will be prepaid by ECC.

If a product is worn, and then a defect arises, the customer is responsible to send the product back to Eastern Coast Costume.  After the product has been received, we will then repair or replace with the same item, same color, and same price at our sole option.

WEB POLICIES

  • Return Authorization Form must be filled out in its entirety by customer or return cannot be accepted.
  • Customer assumes all responsibility to inquire about shipping methods and ship times to ensure that merchandise is received on time.  When shopping on EBay, the only way to guarantee a shipping upgrade is by telephone with a valid credit card during regular business hours.  The customer must contact ECC, we cannot contact you.
  • Eastern Coast Costume cannot be held responsible for packages once they have been received by UPS or USPS.
  • Returns are subject to a 20% restocking fee and customer is responsible for shipping charges both ways.
  • Shipping is non-refundable.
  • Returns must be sent back with a means of tracking or delivery confirmation for the customer’s protection and convenience.  We cannot be responsible for orders returned to us without tracking or confirmation method, and customers cannot be credited until we can verify the receipt of return.
  • Returns received by ECC without a Return Auth Form will be discarded.
  • For orders placed prior to October 10th, refunds will not begin to process until after
    November 1st.  Please do not contact ECC regarding a refund before November 10th, this will allow us time to process refunds.  All returns are subject to a 20% restocking fee and shipping is non-refundable.
  • Cancellations must be submitted immediately after the order is placed.  Once the package reaches our shipping facility, the order cannot be cancelled.  The order will be subject to a 20% Restocking Fee and shipping is non-refundable. 
  • Whenever possible, changes can be made immediately after the order has been placed.  Once the order is packed, it is moved to our shipping facility and is no longer accessible. Changes are not possible after the order has reached this point.
  • Shipping cannot be refunded.  We cannot be held responsible for delivery after the package has left our shipping facility.  All returns are subject to a 20% restocking fee, and this policy includes all packages refused or returned because of incorrect information provided to us by the customer.
  • EBay Returns are subject to a 20% Restocking Fee and shipping
    is also non-refundable.  Ebay Auction items are NON RETURNABLE.
  • Occasionally, items are out of stock.  We will call the customer once and send an email once to the address provided in this case.  If we do not receive a response by the following business day, the order will be cancelled.  We try our best to fill all orders; however, we cannot continue to contact customers repeatedly.
  • When we encounter a problem with a credit card, we will call the customer once and send an email once to the address provided.  If we do not receive a response by the following business day, the order will be cancelled.
  • NO Returns will be accepted after October 10th.  Any order placed after October 10th will be considered to be sold as ‘ALL SALES FINAL”.  Orders placed after November 1st will be subject to our off-season return policy.
  • Orders may also be placed by Fax with a credit card or by mail with a check or money order.  Simply fill out the Order Page and send it in to us. 
    Please note that orders placed by this method can only be shipped by UPS Ground.

  • All orders will be shipped the same day as received by 2:00 p.m. Monday thru Friday whenever possible.  Orders received after 2:00 p.m. may go out the following weekday.  There is no shipping on Saturday, Sunday, or Holidays, please allow time for this when choosing your shipping method.  We will continue to expedite shipments every day as late as possible.

    For shipping quotes, please refer to our website.  Place the desired item in the cart, then click “checkout”.  At this point you will see a screen for billing/shipping information.  At the top center, there will be a pull down bar to choose your shipping method.  Click “See Rates” and follow the instructions. You will then receive quotes for all shipping methods available in your area. 
    Please check the UPS GROUND TIME map for Ground Service Times.
     At certain peak shipping times, UPS does not guarantee Ground Service.
  • Shipping cannot be refunded.  We cannot be held responsible for delivery after the package has left our shipping facility.  All returns are subject to a 20% restocking fee, and this policy includes all packages refused or returned because of incorrect information provided to us by the customer.

We ship via UPS and USPS.  UPS offers a means to track your package along with guaranteed delivery. The United States Postal Service does not.  Please keep this in mind when placing your order.  At this time, USPS does not offer a guaranteed delivery time.  All packages shipped USPS are sent Priority Mail.  Domestic orders are shipped via USPS when Post Office box addresses are given, as UPS does not deliver to PO Boxes.

Orders shipped by UPS are automatically insured up to $100.00. 
Orders shipped by USPS are not insured unless you choose to pay for insurance.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING

  • Tariffs and Taxes on International shipments are the responsibility of the customer.  Please do not ask ECC make false statements on the customs form.  We cannot mark your package as a gift, nor can we state that the value is less than  what it actually is. 
  • Customers ordering from Canada may choose either USPS or UPS at checkout.
  • Orders shipped internationally do not have guaranteed delivery dates. 
    ECC can only guarantee date when package will be dropped off at Post Office.
